Itinerary / Routes for Backpacking South America 2013 - Trip 5

Trip 5 Itinerary cont. (May 2012 - September 2013)

- Lived in Colombia, had a great trip to Venezuela and some places around Colombia, Uruguay and Brazil.

This year of travel was a little scattered, a few places in a few countries. From the north coast of Colombia I wanted to go to Venezuela. The route east takes you across the border to Maracaibo and from there, there are options of direction. My route from Uruguay up to Brazil was basically a straight line. The weather wasn't great in Uruguay so here's an obvious tip - plan your itinerary for flexibility for weather and to give yourself a day off sometimes!
